CAREER SUMMARY
I have over twenty-five (25) years experience in engineering and construction industry related to petrochemical plants, oil and gas projects (onshore and offshore) and infrastructures projects. I gained the experience working overseas in Oman, Indonesia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia and in the Philippines. The many years of exposure in various jobs prepared me to assume responsibilities for project engineering, construction, quality control, and management of construction and design group.
All my engineering work are presented professionally using computer tools or softwares and in some cases supplemented with hand calculations and sketches. Having lead teams for some time, my important role is to coordinate with other disciplines (engineering or construction) for work interfaces to ensure compatibility in overall design of the project, in addition to my other tasks such providing inputs for planning/scheduling and costing. I see my strength as being a driving force on site and in office, having the ability to make constructive decisions and get work done on time and within allowable cost.

As I arrived in Manila on 4th January 2004, I became occupied with answering all job application emails from people I do not know. Hopefully one or two at least will come with impressive CVs. So far the applicants are not that so convincing. Nakakahiyang ibigay sa HR administrator namin. But Steven Loh will surely accept them in his manpower pool.
It was a hectic week, in fact had only 3 days to conceptualize, design and submit
my entry to LOGO design contest for INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND PRESERVATION of HOUBARA BUSTARD. Had to do it from Dec 31, 2003 to Jan 2, 2004 as I was to fly on the third. I am very optimistic that the design would be at least acknowledged. It was not so well designed but still would give others a run for the money ($4000).

Yuko,
This is the refined version that didn’t change much from my original design. I figured this is the most ideal. I allowed today two other people to read it and like the first three, the design appeared to them as very readable, “no doubt it said PIMENTEL for PRESIDENT” they remarked.
It was very gratifying to know the design turned out OK to at least 5 people.
I tried to put it over a Philippine flag backdrop but the flag stood out far more than the words that it reduced the magical message of the design. What this artwork is trying to convey is the magic between a man named Pimentel and the leadership we have always hoped would be better if the presidency was to be won by him.
The artwork in my opinion would astound any person who would always have thought that reading another word out of another that was reversed was next to impossibility. But miraculuously here are two important words right in front of his eyes that seem to have quite a mutual sanctity with each other……as if trying to convey a very clear message to all of us:
PIMENTEL is the PRESIDENT for the beleaguered Philippines.

THIS MORNING BEFORE EVEN HAVING MY FIRST CUP OF COFFEE TO START THE DAY, I WORKED STRAIGHT ON MY PC AND STARTED THE IDEA THAT I HAD IMAGINED LAST NIGHT WAS POSSIBLE TO MAKE....'PIMENTEL FOR PRESIDENT' IS DONE. AFTER TESTING IT WITH THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE, I FELT SATISFIED. THE ARTWORK WAS REALLY READABLE BUT TO MY STANDARD, I STILL HAVE TO REFINE SOME AREAS. ONE LITTLE THING IS STILL MISSING THAT ONLY ME COULD TELL. IT'S MY OWN WORK AFTER ALL. BUT I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULT. IT'S READY TO GO IN A DAY OR TWO.

Nice morning start today 9August03 as I have quite easily imagined and drafted "Pimentel' reversible. I will try to form "Pimentel for President" if not too difficult to make. There is a possibility. But my first try encountered a conflict between ENT and TEL. There must be another way to solve it by using Old English or Gothic letterings. This would be a big joy for me once I did it.
Had a meeting today with Euro Mechanical about the new pipeline (GRP) project in Daz Island. Looks everything will be fine with this joint venture. The manager was straight forward and seemed simple with his ideas. Hopefully this will be profitable. However, manpower is still low and will need more engineers for the big Dolphin project expected to kick-off three months from now. Also I am eager about the other bid to go next week..the Jebel Dhanna tank farm upgrade.

I couldn't believe that crazy Iranian client wanted surgical precision in my structural calculations. What a jerk! But my boss begged me to just give in to what he wanted to close this long unending issue that started long before a Kennedy was born! As the saying goes, IT'S DIFFICULT TO SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE WHEN YOU DEAL WITH TURKEYS. But BUSH, he's not to bad an Iranian..so leave him alone or rather leave them all alone. Irag is enough.
